BAM Technology relies on clinically proven results for its technology when presenting The Hair Serum.
Earlier this year, innovative beauty tech company Lea Cares, with the brand BAM Technology—BAM being short for Bio Active Minerals—launched its first product, Nail Serum. The hair sequel is based on the same patented technology: delivering silicon and calcium locally to promote the body’s natural production of collagen and keratin. The nail serum got off to a flying start with many compliments and customers praising that the product really works. The success of The Hair Serum is probably not long in coming.
Lea Cares combines its own development and testing with independent laboratories to ensure objectivity and scientific quality. Studies are done with clinically proven results. In other words, it is scientifically established that the fast-acting combination starts working immediately after application. After about a month of use, the nail has strengthened by 64 percent, the thickness increased by 39 percent. The hair is proven to be 17 percent stronger in four weeks. The serum targets the hair follicles and provides healthier, stronger hairs that stay in the hair follicle for extra longer.
BAM Technology is based on research and developed with science as a foundation. Behind it is the founder Viktoria Engqvist who invented and patented this formula. By her side is her father, Professor Håkan Engqvist, an expert in applied materials science. It is generally known that the skin also benefits from the two important elements calcium and silicon. That the unique technology can penetrate to the cellular level and start a process that contributes to collagen growth in the skin is no wild guess. Effective help for dehydrated skin caused by collagen deficiency is, in all likelihood, here shortly.
– Our vision is to use our technology to offer consumers new, effective solutions for hair, skin, and nails, Viktoria Engqvist explains. We grow by developing innovative products and meeting the needs of a broad customer group. At present, we have two products, but the technology has broad potential and can be applied in several areas, and we are continuously developing this internally.
How do you think about the relationship between price and sales volume?
– We position ourselves in a segment that makes the product accessible to many, while at the same time offering premium quality. Right now, we are focusing on building a strong presence in our current markets in the Nordics, but, of course, there is a long-term ambition for expansion beyond that.

For skin products, the competition is fierce, but you do have momentum to take advantage of here.
– Yes, the same basic principle also applies to the skin. Our technology is based on adding bioactive minerals locally, which stimulates the body’s own collagen production – a mechanism that is highly relevant for skin as well. We see great potential in the area but have chosen to focus on hair and nails for the time being in order to establish the technology on the market in a clear and long-term way. How and when we take the next step depends on what is most strategic for our continued development.
Is there a percentage figure on whether your technology is more effective than oral supplements?
– We are working on studies that will quantify exactly how much more minerals are delivered locally and how this affects the cells’ collagen production. The studies and results that we have shown significantly higher local availability compared to systemic supply, Engqvist concludes.
