The new product launch uses mini proteins in a complex structure, bridging the gap between peptides and proteins.
After the last few years’ significant rise in consumers’ interest in peptides, the race is on to offer them novelty and innovation in the field. Medik8’s Education Manager Lavinia Stone describes the new Liquid Peptides Advanced MP as a breakthrough formula.
– It comes with dual mini proteins, which reeducate the skin and give it gratifying short term and long term age-defying results, she says.
Can you take us through the development of it?
– It did take 18 months to develop the product, there were 40 different types of product formulations before we landed on the perfect one, and we tested to ensure that we can clinically prove that it works on the skin with more than 300 people.
You call it “next-gen peptide technology.”
– Yes, it’s innovation. Not many brands are working with peptides in this way. They deliver and perform very differently within the skin because they’re a very complex structure. They send clear signals to our skin cells to tell them what to do and make them behave like they did when they were younger.
– We’re bridging the gap between peptides and proteins, accelerating the results we can achieve from peptides by using mini proteins. Peptides are so exciting, there’s been a huge demand in peptide formulations and how many people are searching for peptide products within the last five year—it feels like a really hot topic at the moment.
And with that comes a lot of science and money, so it’s easy to assume that you are already looking at another “next-generation peptides.”
– Probably. That’s not my job, so I’m gonna leave that up to the scientists, but yes! Stone concludes.
